Who arranges shipping
Shipping is arranged between buyer and supplier according to the Incoterm agreed in the quotation. AILTA does not handle freight, customs clearance or delivery.
Common terms on this platform
- EXW — you collect from the supplier's premises and handle everything
- FOB — supplier delivers to the port of loading; you arrange sea freight onward
- CIF / CFR — supplier arranges and pays main carriage to your named port; risk still transfers at origin
- DDP — supplier delivers to your door with duties paid, where legally able to act as importer of record
Documentation
Standard export documentation typically includes the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin and any product-specific certificates. Confirm required documents with your customs broker before shipment.
